Adventures in South America: Lima, Peru

Last night I arrived in Lima, Peru from Edmonton via Houston.  While I have been here all day, it is really just a layover before my flight continues late tonight onward to La Paz, Bolivia.

I woke up to the sound of a couple of peacocks . . .

. . . and had this view from my window when I looked outside.

I am staying at the Hotel Espana, which is reminiscent of Madrid's Prado in terms of the amount of art on display!

I had very little ambition for today, since I was in Lima in 2014 and did not really have enough time today to do a whole lot.  So, mostly, I just walked around, sat and read in parks and plazas and at cafes, and did a little shopping.
