Adventures in Europe: Feldkirch, Austria

As I noted in my prior post, I arrived in Feldkirch, Austria yesterday by train from Zurich. While my purpose for being here was to see Liechtenstein, this city is certainly worth a walk-around too!

This is the Hotel Baren, which I found rather quaint. The service was really good and the breakfast buffet superb!

The old town is compact and well maintained.

I ate dinner on this square.

The restaurant's menu was only in German, and I am not entirely clear what I ate. Certainly beef with root vegetables and a lot of horseradish.

It was very good and felt relatively healthy compared to most of my meals in Europe so far! After dinner, I walked out of the old town as the sun set.

And eventually I worked my way up towards the castle above town.

This morning I went out for more or less the same walk, only now during the morning light.
