Adventures in Europe: Valença, Portugal

This afternoon we took the the train from Porto up to Valença, just across the Minho River from Spain. We walked from the train station into the old town, which is an impressive medieval fortress!

We checked in at our hotel and got our first camino credential stamp!

This was the view from our room.

We had a couple more hours of daylight, so we walked around the little town and saw the walls.

That is Spain across the river in the pictures above and below.

And here was one of the markers for the camino, which we start tomorrow!
